"Here and There, Between Paris and Rome" at Villa Medici
The exhibition Agnès Varda. “Here and There, Between Paris and Rome” celebrates the work of French photographer and director Agnès Varda through over 130 images, documents, posters, and personal objects on display at Villa Medici, home of the French Academy in Rome, from February 25 to May 25, 2026.
The exhibition traces the career of the filmmaker, a central figure of the Nouvelle Vague, through photographs taken in her historic Parisian studio on Rue Daguerre and shots of her travels in Italy, from Venice to Rome.
