Jack Vettriano in Rome
Evocative art in the heart of Trastevere
The exhibition dedicated to Jack Vettriano celebrates the narrative and visual universe of the Scottish artist with over 80 works on display at Palazzo Velli in the Trastevere district from 12 February to 5 July 2026.
The retrospective retraces the career of one of the international public’s most beloved artists, presenting oil paintings, one-off works on museum-grade paper, a video featuring the artist himself, and a series of photographs taken in his studio by Sunday Times portraitist Francesco Guidicini.
The exhibition offers visitors an immersive experience, ranging from cinematic atmospheres, scenes of everyday life, and melancholic elegance to the famous subjects that made Vettriano an artist recognized worldwide.
Located in the heart of Trastevere, the exhibition is an ideal stop during a stay in Rome for those who want to combine contemporary art with strolls through historic streets.
