There are very few locations to rival 'Monti'.
This ancient quarter is now one of Rome's most fashionable residential, shopping
and eating out districts. Frequent visitors to Rome will enjoy the similarity
to Trastevere; a maze of atmospheric vennels, lined with 'palazzi', artisan
shops, superb 'ristorante' and even a few traditional pubs. However, while Trastevere
is poorly served by public transport, Monti is within 10 minutes walk from Termini
station.
The abundance of antiquities within comfortable walking distance of the Hotel
Raffaello is phenomenal. Vespasian's magnificent Colosseum
is five minutes walk, the Imperial Roman Forum, home of the Roman senate is
approximately 500 metres from the hotel. Continue towards Piazza Venezia on
streets once walked by Julius Cesar and then on to the Trevi Fountain,
Pantheon, Campo di Fiori and Piazza Navona. The Spanish Steps are close
to hand, and the Vatican lies immediately on the other side of the Tiber.
Mosè di Michelangelo can be found in the church of San Pietro in Vincoli (Piazza
di San Pietro in Vincoli) 500m

Rome's most famous landmarks: Colosseum, Roman Forum,
Piazza Venezia and Spanish Steps, are no more than a leisurely stroll
from the Hotel Raffaello. For shopping lovers, the surrounding area is packed
with artisan shops as well as fashion boutiques. The area is also awash with
traditional Roman trattorias, contemporary Italian 'ristorante', and a host
of international gourmet restaurants.
