The international marathon in the heart of Rome
Run Rome The Marathon is one of the most spectacular marathons in the world. The 2026 edition will take place on Sunday, March 22nd, starting from Via dei Fori Imperiali and finishing at the Circus Maximus after the classic 42.195 km.
The route passes through some of the capital’s most iconic sites: the Colosseum, Piazza Venezia, Castel Sant’Angelo, and St. Peter’s Basilica.
The marathon attracts thousands of runners from all over the world every year and also offers side events such as the Run4Rome relay and the 5km fun run open to all.
How to reach the departure point from the Hotel Raffaello
- On foot: The Colosseum is about 15 minutes away.
- By metro: Line B from Termini Station to the Colosseum.
- By taxi: about 10 minutes.
